Producer Based in Romania, Cramele Recas is a prominent player in the wine industry, founded in 1998. It is run by Englishman Philip Cox and his Romanian wife Elvira. Their vineyard has been transformed into a state-of-the-art winery, making Cramele Recas one of Romania’s largest wine producers, best known for its significant exports.
About the Wine This authentic blend features the indigenous Feteasca Neagra grape, known as the “black girl”, which adds complexity, structure and a hint of bitterness. The wine is powerful but not overpowering, with flavours of black fruit, pepper and other spices. It is an excellent wine to accompany dishes such as Chili con carne, Sticky BBQ ribs, and spicy salamis.
